Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Louisiana
I was in a relationship for three years and it led to an engagement and we moved in together. My fianc, who I have since split up with in November 2013, was arrested in June of 2012. I moved from the place we were living in because I could no longer afford it. I took all of his things (dresser and other furniture) with me because we were both using them, and I have been using them since. It is now January 2014 and he wants his parents to take these things from me and he is still incarcerated. Is it legal for them to come and take these things from me even after this period of time?

Yes. His property is still his. You would have to keep it for ten years to become owner of it.
