Use of outside security camera at home

Hi

I want to use a wireless night-vision security camera for recording my car in my shed. The shed is not attached to my home, and it is used just for parking m y car. I want to install two security cameras in my shed. The cameras will not be pointed outside the shed, and the only way someone can be seen on the cameras is if they entered the shed. My car was vandalized a few weeks ago, and I want to catch the person who did this. Is is legal to place cameras on my private property to protect my property?
