Website Name and Contents

(1) For example, if my college name is Michigan State Uni. Would it be problem, if I register a website with the name www.MSUFriends.com; This website will be targeted on MSU college students. This website will help student for looking up there textbooks on the web.

(2) Can I list the course offered by the college on the same website. (without college consent) (would it be illegal)

(3) College bookstore is not giving me the list of books used for the classes.... Can I ask them on some legal point.

No problem registering a site called MSUFriends.com. No one should mistake it for an official site.

The college has no way of preventing you from listing courses that are available, but I doubt you can force them to give you a digital listing of the classes (at least without paying for them).

You can always order a course catalog. No, you can't force the college bookstore to give you their business information, you'll have to get it directly from the college. I don't think there's any precedent for forcing a college to give you course-book correlations. If you requested the information through the freedom of information act, they may not have to give it to you unless the information were already compiled somewhere in the system.
