Libel Suit Questions [again]
The person who was written about was in no way implied in anything illegal nor anything such as [she has AIDS]...simply it was her personal life written in black and white. It is all true [what was written] and can be proven [thru witnesses and written documentaion]...The person who is trying to sue,is angry their personal business was said out loud. Do they have a REAL case?

Re: Libel Suit Questions [again]
I am supposing this is a follow-up to a question I answered. Truth is an absolute defense to a defamation suit.
I would caution that there is a "Criminal Defamation" statute in Louisiana. The statute is clearly unconstitutional. Unfortunately, sometimes elected District Attorneys are better politicians than Constitutional scholars.
