Legal Question in Construction Law in Louisiana
If a home forcloses do subcontrators whom have filed leins for unpaid work and materials loose thier rights for payment?
Example:
A plumbing contractor has filed a lien for non payment of services and materials on a new home that was constructed. Said contractor has been told that if he did not settle for a smaller amount his lien would go away when the home forecloses and is sold at a sherriffs auction.
