Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana
Automobile Damage
I bought my car 2 weeks ago, as-is, from a dealer. I checked the car out and asked if the car had been in an accident---responded no and gave me a carfax. I just found out my trunk is leaking, when i lifted the trunk carpet I found it has been weilded/glued together.
Do I have any recourse against the dealer or am I covered under the lemon law? What do I do?

Re: Automobile Damage
"as-is" means just that....if you wanted some guarantee, then you should have asked for it. I don't think you have any recourse.
Re: Automobile Damage
The "lemon law" in Louisiana only applies to new cars.
There is a similar law that applies to used cars, but it is somewhat limited. An attorney that regularly handles consumer matters can better advise you after a consultation.
