Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana
I bought a car at an auction at Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was driving the vehicle that I bought on my way back to Brownsville Texas, when all of the sudden the police stopped me, It appeared the car is stolen. The police took the car, and now I don't know what to do. Are the auction responsible for making sure the vehicles are clean? How can I get the money back?
Please help me. thank you.

Certainly the seller is responsible to you. The liability of the auction company depends on how much they knew or should have known under the circumstances about the history of the car. If you have not done so already, you should certainly contact the auction company (either personally or--better--through a lawyer) and inform them that they sold you a stolen car.
