Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana
Broken slab after raising attempt
Contractor was hired to raise the concrete slab behind my home. Was unsuccessful and damaged the slab in the process besides the numerous holes that were drilled as part of the work. Most of which were not filled in. We agreed that I would not be charged due to the work not being completed. Are they liable to fix what is now worse than before? Slab is cracked and broken where before it was whole but settled along fence line causing it to retain water after a rain.

Re: Broken slab after raising attempt
You can sue but I wouldn't unless the damages are high enough, and I can't tell from your question if they are.
