Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana

bug

I bought a candy bar. Very big name brand. As I was opening the candy I always look to see if it was tampered with or anything. It was not. I went to bite the candy and noticed it felt kind of cumbled on my bottom lip. I continued to bite. When I moved the candy away form my mouth thee was a small worm inside of it still alive and eating at the candy. Is this any basis for a suit and if so what will it fall under? Thank you!!

Re: bug

You certainly have a right to get a "fresh" candy bar, or the price you paid for the candy. The company may owe you some further monies, but it would be based on what "damage" you suffered as a result of the worm being in the candy bar. If you suffered no damages then get your money back and move on.
