Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana
On Jan. 9, 2010, we purchased a 2008 travel trailer from a local dealership. He wrote "Factory Warranty Only" on the bill of sale. Ten days later, we learned, by searching on the internet, the factory liquidated all assests in March of 2009. What are our legal rights in having the trailer repaired should the need arise in the future?

You could likely sue to void the sale and/or obtain a reduction in the price based on fraud. You certainly would not have purchased the item (or at least not at that price) had you known that there was nobody behind the warranty. He should have told you that and he knew or should have known the truth of the matter.
