Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana
If a judgement is filed against me in 2010 and I am just now finding out about it in 2014 what can I do to get this vacated because I feel I was wrongly served????

If you were never served with the original petition, you can file a petition to annul and set aside the original default judgment. However, it will be your burden to prove that you were not served, if the sheriff's office records state that you were. Those records are presumed to be correct and you have to rebut that presumption with real proof (such as that was not your address, etc.).
