Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana
I signed a sales contract with a Large, well known dealer for a 2010 Chevy Silverado at a particluar interest rate.
I picked up the truck, took it home, and went back the next day "to set up on-star" as my salesman said. I got there and as soon as I stepped out of the truck he had me sign a second sales contract at a higher interest rate. I kept this contract and have it in my posession.
I was told that I wasn't approved at the initial percentage rate (that I signed for) and that I couldn't have the vehicle unless I gave them the new one. I ended up returning the truck and going to another large, local dealership.
At the second Dealership I was approved for the EXACT percentage rate that the first dealership said I wasn't approved for from the SAME finance company.
I have not pursued this at all, but I'm pretty sure this is a very blatant case of consumer fraud or something of the sort.
I have both sales contracts in my posession.
Do I have any grounds to stand on?

I would contact the Louisiana Attorney Generals Office 1-800-351-4889-office of consumer protection and discuss this with them. Or if you prefer an online form-http://www.ag.state.la.us/Complaint.aspx?articleID=16&catID=15
