Legal Question in Consumer Law in Louisiana
My wedding was in September and after my wedding the decorator did not come back to get her decorations. I've tried on multiple occasions to contact her about this but she has yet to respond. She owes me about $1700 is it ok for me to sell the decorations to collect on her outstanding debt?

No. Under Louisiana law, you would have to hold on to those decorations for ten years before you became the legal owner of them. Only then could you legally sell them.
