Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

I have credit and loan debt that I was going to chapter13 but I stopped it. Now my bills are all in collection agency and i cannot afford to pay the amount they are asking. Should I settle to go to court and let the judge decide? Or what tell them what I can afford and thats that? Help please

Your question is not really one we can answer online. You need to meet with a qualified bankruptcy attorney in person and go over your finances to decide if you still qualify for a bankruptcy and, if so, whether that is the right option for you, given your circumstances. In order to help you make that determination, we would need far more information about your finances than you could (or would want to) disclose online.

I would suggest that, if you were happy with the attorney who started the Chapter 13 proceedings for you before, talk to that attorney. Otherwise, just talk to another one.
