You should hire an attorney. You must file suit against both parties. After receiving a judgment you then must petition the court for a garnishment. Louisiana exempts certain items against seizure. You can recover attorneys fees only. You can file a subpoena duces Tecum but only to the employer or defendant. There are fees charged by the court for supoenas-you give them a written request with the address information of each subpoena. If this is a foreign judgment, there is a process to make it executory in La. You need an attorney.
