Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

Gave permission to collection agency to withdraw via bank draft $600.25 to settle an account. They withdrew $1250.00 without authorization.What is my recourse in recovering my money?

Without telling you the obvious of NEVER to give access to your account to ANYONE or ANY COMPANY, you obviously owed them $1,250.00. If you have an agreement IN WRITING that they would accept $600.25 in FULL settlement of the account, then it is YOUR word against some mystery person. That is a scam that has been around since the human race. NO RECOURSE. Sorry.
