Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana
Help, I live in Louisiana,I have a child support question to ask . I was put on child support by the state until the childred get adoptive. one month before hurricane katrina the courts subpoena me for child support in the amount of $3500.00 , at this time the kids (twins) were adoptive. one year after hurricane katrina it was $6800.00 and how $12,893.74. so I call the child support enforcement and spoke with a agent and she informed me that the case on the twin boy was not close. she said" that a audit of my case will take place, and that someome will be contacting me as soon as it was completed." That been 8 months ago . Trying to get my credit repaired- is there some forms or something that I can do besides waiting for an answer and another $3000.00 to be add, its destroying my credit ...what can i do?

Once you sign a voluntary surrender, you are no longer obligated to pay support.
You may not have to pay ongoing child support but you are responsible for all arrearages.....
