If you marry someone that owes the IRS does that debt become mine as well?

It does not become yours as such, however, as soon as you are married your income becomes 1/2 his and therefore available to the IRS. If you fiancee' has a good long time job, then there may not be a problem. If you insist on marrying him, execute a pre-nup.
