Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

I pressed charges on my husband for beating me then he pressed charges on me after the police questioned him. They believed his story and arrested me and but did nothing to him. Can I still persue those charges even tho I was arrested?

Though you may have requested the police investigate a crime, it is up to the arresting agency and the D.A.'s office whether or not to pursue charges.
