Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

I recently paid off my vehicle. The bank tried to repossess my vehicle. I came into some money and called to get a payoff balance on the vehicle. The amount was quoted and I obtained a cashier's check in that amount and took it personally to the bank where they wrote paid in full on the check. Now they're telling me I owe another $600. Is this legal? I think they're trying to get me for their cost in attempting to repossess the vehicle.

They are going to have to live by that "PAID IN FULL" stamp. I would not pay them another penny.
