Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
My 24 year old niece has detailed memories of being molested by her father. Her mother recently confessed to a younger sibling that she knew about it. What charges can be brought against him now and how do we go about doing it? This occurred in Louisiana, but she now lives with me in Texas.

This will be a difficult crime to prove but the allows 30 years from the victims 18th birthday to begin prosecution. The district attorney and sheriff in parish where acts took place is the proper parish to prosecute.
