Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Assault
My boyfriend is 17 and has been in jail two previous times for aggravated battery (fighting) and now he is in jail again. He was on juvenile and adult probation. This time he is in jail for the same crime. What could his punishment possibly be?????

Re: Assault
Aggravated battery is a little more than just "fighting." If he is convicted as a first offender then he could get 0-10 years in prison. If second offense, then 5-20 years in prison. Now if you do not mind some fatherly advice.....run away from this guy. He is a loser and I predict he will either never come out of prison or die on the streets.
