Possession of marijuana is a misdemeanor punishable up to 6 months in jail on the first offense. A second marijuana offense is a felony. All other drugs are felonies and are punishable from 1 year to 30 or more depending on circumstances or amount. Sentencing depends on a number of factors including previous felony convictions.
