Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

Battery on police officer

I have never been in trouble with the law. I was charged with battery on an officer and resisting arrest. The reason why I didn't get out of the vehicle was because the officer had already been pushing on me to get in my vehicle to unlock it and in the process of him pushing on me he touched me on my breast and my legs and I got upset and panicked. When he got me out of my vehicle he slammed me on the ground and when they got me up, I hit him in the face. They didn't read me my rights until my bond was paid and I was about to be released from jail. Do the police supposed to give you time to look for the papers they request and can an officer order you out of your vehicle when he see you looking for the requested papers? Whats the worst case scenario being that I felt I was the one being violated?
