Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
my bf has a "home invasion" charge, resisting arrest and simple battery charge. I believe an egregious error has been made. His bond is 170,000. is this a normal bond? please tell me what he's looking at in worse case scenario. I know he didn't do this but what's the worse that could happen?

Of course you don't think he did this......however, home invasion is very serious, as is resisting arrest! Simple battery is not unless on a police officer. The bond could be based on the home invasion OR on his current criminal record. You need to take a deep breath and wonder why those type charges, all of which usually have strong EYE WITNESS EVIDENCE, are NOT VALID. Speak to his attorney.
