Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
My boyfriend busted my exes back glass out of his truck in December of 2012. My boyfriend was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property. He went through pre trial diversion and paid restitution. My ex contacted me saying he is pressing charges on him for breaking his dashboard during the same incident. My question is since my boyfriend has already completed the pre trial diversion and paid my ex can he be charged again?

He can't be prosecuted twice for the same offense. It would be double jeopardy and it is unconstitutional.
