Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
bribery
Someone my husband was stealing from found out about the crime. When they questioned my husband about it they made the comment ''as part of your restitution we are not going to have you prosecuted in any way.'' Then 2 weeks later they had him arrested and he is now serving time. They had taped the conversation and we had gotten a copy of this meeting from the DA.
Isn't what they did bribery? And if so what is the statute of limitation?

Re: bribery
It isn't bribery. Does his lawyer know about the tape? Is the promise on the tape?
