Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
I called a courthouse in Louisiana today about my husbands divorce to his first wife. I was told that in 2002 a bench warrant for not paying child support was issued and possibly still in effect. We have been caught up on his child support for over 3 years and he has been pulled over a total of 4 times since 2002, but never once taken to jail for the bench warrant. Is there a possibility that the warrant was dropped? I am worried that if I call the Sheriff's Department they will require him to turn himself in if it is still standing.
