Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

Is this a case of blackmail, threats or defermation of character?

You and the owner now have copies of both the invoice and the receipts.

Per your request through your certified letter, receipts and invoice are attached.

We have several issues to address, one being the fact Lee says that he never gave you authorization and told you not to have sub contractors or is he a liar?

Your letter is being emailed to him to show him that you are in breach of contract in hiring us. As we stated to him, we had no prior knowledge of the agreement or arrangement between the two of you. I am curious how many lies you think you are going to get away with in small claims court where you and Lee are headed? You don't ever threaten me with court action.

List of subjects that will be discussed in my next email to Lee...

1. We will be discussing fully the fire wall

2. We will discuss the 1/2" ply board patch instead of the 3/4" ply board

3. We will be talking about you bringing a lot of old mud from Warren's fathers house to do Lee's house, when he paid for all the materials

4. We will also, since it is your pattern and behavior of stealing from and lying to your customers be fully exposed

My best piece of advice to you is pack your stuff and leave this town. You have screwed too many people in this town.

(Do you remember borrowing a software package from us to make bogus receipts to give Warren's father and you made them to show that they were from Home Depot?)

At this point you have at least 5 different people and or companies that are going to prosecute you. You have until 11 o'clock tomorrow morning to come clean with Lee on this issue and get me paid or he finds out the items listed above. How does that suit you "Mr. Leader in the Construction Industry"?

I am also apprising your mother of all your behavior that I know of starting all the way back with Ms. Linda.

Your just no good and a low life, I am finished with your shit. 11 o'clock is your cutoff time, make it right by then!

It sounds like more of a promise than a threat, but since you give no details about what you are talking about, I/we on this site have to fill in some big gaps. It appears you do construction work of some kind and whoever wrote the part in your queston about how you handle business, is claimng you have not been honest. First of all, accusing someone of a crime or dishonesty is "defamation per say," if published to someone other than yourself. However, "TRUTH" is always a defense. So, if the writer is accusing you of a crime and has not told anyone else, then they can be lying and there is no damage. If it is the truth, then they can tell the world and there is no damage. He names someone named Lee, and Warren, and mentions Warren's father, then mentions your mother and Linda and 5 other people. So, without knowing the details, no one can assist you except to say this sounds like a matter that you should hire counsel for and explain it to them. Heck, in the end, you may want to leave town.
