Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
If a cell phone is not in a persons name, but they have been questioned by the police in a crime, can the police get a search warrant for the phones gps if they suspect this person had something to do with it

Yes. If they have enough information to sign a sworn affidavit to obtain a search warrant for the phone it does not matter whose name the phone is in.
