Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

Can He be charged for not knowing

My husband is being held until questioned about a murder that occured in another state in which he does not know when the murder took place and was not in that state. (MS) They suppose to have some in custody that says he was there sitting out in the car but my husband never left me the whole time. Because he don't know anything about this murder at all he is now sitting in jail awaiting on questioning. Will he be charged with anything at all even though he was not in that state and does not even know the person that said it was him? Everyone has different statements I know but how long can they hold him after he tells them he was not in MS at all?

Re: Can He be charged for not knowing

He needs a lawyer in the state in question.

If he is being held as a "material witness" then he should be able to post bond.
