How do i get the charges dropped or lessened against my husband when we go to court? An automatic restraining order was placed against him the night that this happened, Aug. 4. We have been married for 12 yrs and he is a very passive, good man, until he drinks too much. Which is not often, he was intoxicated the night of the incident, though. We live in Baton Rouge, La

Refuse to testify.......but the next time it happens, don't look for sympathy.....you are just one of millions of women who are battered and then drop charges because the man is "really sweet".....he just drinks too much.......most are battered many times after that.......some are killed.
