Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Are Court Dates public record?
A friend of mine has been charged with robbery. He is currently in jail and waiting for his court date. I would like to know when his court date is. Can I call the D.A.'s office and ask them? Is this public information? How else could I go about finding out this information? I want to keep up with his court dates and sentences, etc. What is the best way to do this?

Re: Are Court Dates public record?
Court appearance dates are public record. Contact the Clerk of Court for the Parish where he is charged.
