Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
criminal law
Recently, I learned about the truth in sentencing law and that at present it is at 85% time served for felons. However, I am told there is legislature to reduce this to 65%. Is this true and has the law been changed.

Re: criminal law
There are certain crimes that require someone convicted to serve 85% before being eligible for early release.
I never heard anything about that being reduced.
