second degree battery domestic violence

My wife started hitting me when we were both drinking i also hit her she hit first and more, she broke her thumb hitting me which is where the 2nd degree comes in, what are my chances of proving this, she told the arresting officers the thumb injury was her doing. I was also not read my rights spent two days in jail and was not booked.

You should seek the advice of an attorney as soon as possible since second degree battery is a felony charge. The facts of your case should be discussed in private and not on a public forum.
