How to Drop Charges
My Husband got upset and grabbed his granddaughter and hit her. Everyone was very upset and called the police. he was arrested and charged with simple battery. What can we do to drop the charges.

You can call the prosecuting attorney and tell them what you want to do, however, it will have to be the grandchild who drops them. If the grandchild won't drop them then they won't be dropped. If the grandchild is a minor, then the parents would ask for them to be dropped if the State has not become involved.
