Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
How would one go about dropping a criminal damage to property charge? The charge was based on what my now exboyfriend said he saw, which wasn't. He said he saw my ex slash my tires, which infact he didn't, but I didn't know it at the time. Now I know he was lying. I would like to drop the charge against him since I now know he didn't do it, but how would I go about doing so?

Contact both the prosecutor and the defense attorney for the accused and tell them.
