Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Expungement of Simple Burglary of Inhabited Dwelling
Please Help
I was convicted of this crime in 1993 and was sentenced to 4 years probation. I now have a Verification of First Offender Pardon, however, I would like to have this expunged from my record so I can hunt with family and friends. In R.S. 14:95.1. I do no carry the right to receive, possess or transport a firearm. I would like to have this right. I did not commit this crime with a weapon, but there were weapons stolen. Such a foolish mistake that I made. I am now much older and would really like to have this expunged.
It is very embarrassing and it would be greatly appreciated to receive some information back.
Is this something that I can file myself or would I need legal counsel?
