Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
not guilty and innocent
is there a difference between the not guilty verdict and an innocent verdict as in the O.J. Simpson case and now the Michael Jackson case? My understanding is that there is a very big difference.

There is no such thing as an "Innocent" verdict. Defendants may be found "Not Guilty" as both men were.
