Does a judge need to recuse...
Does a Judge need t recuse himself from hearing a case or tell the Defendant before a judge trial only, that he is good friends and goes to church with a witness and key figure in a criminal action against the defendant?

My opinion is he should divulge the fact that he knows a witness as soon as he knows that the person is a witness. But only if they have a special relationship. If you think the judge should be recused, you need to file a motion for such. Especially if you know their relationship.
