Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

Jury Question About My Friend's Trial

He got life sentence for a murder he did not commit. The man who found the body also served on the jury that found him guilty. Several persons have told his mother that this was wrong and he has a case. The problem now is that she works at a minimum wage job and has no money or credit to hire a lawyer. He has been in Angola State Pen for many years. Where can help be found to fight this case? I have known him and his mother since 1971 but am a 60 year old with health problems and also no money.

Re: Jury Question About My Friend's Trial

Dear Friend,

I am not trying to solicit business, but I shall be happy to discuss this case with you, the prisoner's mother or the prisoner himself. Feel free to contact me or tell his mother or him they can feel free to contact me. My phone is listed. I do not think we lawyers are supposed to put our telephone numbers nor street addresses in our answers, but it is no secret I am from Lake Charles. I do not charge for just talking about a case. It looks like no lawyer could do any worse than what has already been done. It looks like a case that a lawyer might be able to do some good for his client by handling. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Best of luck to you all!

Sincerely,

Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
