Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
My live in boyfriend of only a year at the time, was accused by my daughters father and his family of molesting her. She was 4 at the time she's 6 now. They held him in jail for 7 months with no hard evidence. He was released in February and around June they threw the case out completely. I was told that no matter if the charges were dropped I could no longer be with him. Is this a true statement??

It depends who told you. If your daughter's Dad said it without legal authority, that is simply a threat. If the state Child protection people said it, that's a bit more serious. If a Judge said it, don't do it!
I suggest that you consult a lawyer to help you navigate all the possibilities.
