Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

I live in Louisiana, my husband and I have been separated for the past three months. He got arrested and charged with felony possesion of a firearm two days ago. He is on probation which he is behind in and has only attended two of twelve mandatory AA meetings. I am trying to firgure out how this will affect me getting a divorce and also how much jail time he will receive?

If he is convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon the minimum sentence is 10 years without benefit of parole. If he is sent to the penitentiary your divorce gets easier, as that is one of the grounds for immediate divorce.
