Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
how long can a person be held
my husband was charged in Louisiana with simple robbery which his boss dropped the charges and unauthorized use of a vehicle which is niece dropped the charges. why haven't they released him? he's not on parole are probation.

The DA does not have to terminate prosecution because the complaining party drops the charges. However, if they refuse to testify then the DA loses. Have his lawyer speak with the ADA handling the case.
