Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Man charged with Manslaughter
I am trying to make sense of charges that were filed against a man. The story is that he and another man got into a fight. We will call one man BOB. Bob picked up a stick and beat the other man (Dan) with it. Cops were called and an ambulance was called also. When help came Dan refused help. No charges were filed. 6 days later Dan dies and BOB is arrested for Manslaughter. I was wondering if the fact that Dan refused medical help and refused to press charges does this still mean that Bob is charged for Dan's death? Please get back with me on this one.
