what is the minimum sentence for a first offender charged with second degree battery

$0.00 fine and zero jail time. Of course he will not get zero, but that is the minimum.....the statute says he can get a fine of $0 to $2,000 and/or
-0- to 5 years imprisonment with or without hard labor.....
