Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana
Non convictions are ruining my chances for advancement
Prospective employers'searching my criminal background are finding 3 marks, 1) criminal tressassing - 1994(fight in a bar)for which I never went to court or entered a plea. 2) posession cds-1(marijuana)1997 never went to court or entered a plea. 3) AWOL (military service)2001 - missed national guard drill as result spent 4 days in R.P.D.C.
I can see the AWOL showing up, I guess, but the other things have cost me at least 3 ''opportunities of a lifetime'' in my Professional Golf career as well as an apartment I was moving into. This has plagued me as if I were a mass murderer, no offense intended to anyone. Can someone offer advise as to what steps to take to clear this headache? Thank you, and I think what you all are doing here is really kind. Thanks again.

Contact a lawyer about having the arrests expunged from your record. Since you were never convicted it should be uncontroversial.
