Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

nursing school

i was denied nursing school intrance because of a felony arrest that was reduced to a misdemeanor the arrestshow up as a felony arrest Is there any way my felony arrest could be dismissed without an expungement and the paperwork show a misdemeanor arrest. The school states that the hospital says i cant do clinicals because of the felony arrest but i could go to another facility and continue nursing school but Nursing school states that the hospital says no so i can't go The judge wrote me a letter stating that the felony arrest is of no consequence and moot. He further stated that my arrest and any plea bargain is clear because he granted me expungement. What can i do

Re: nursing school

Did you get a "894" when you pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor? If so, you need to expunge the matter (it is not automatic anymore).

If not, I would contact an attorney to speak to the DA about possibly withdrawing your plea and re-entering it so you plead under 894.
