if the police enter your house with a search warrant do they have the right to open your mail?

That depends. If the search warrant says you're receiving 1 kilo packages of cocaine in mailed packages from a guy named "Bucky" in Houston and a package big enough to hold a kilo of cocaine is sitting on the table, probably. On the other hand if the letter has no apparent connection to the case and there is no special reason to believe it is evidence of illegal activity, probably not.
