Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

I put up 7,000.00 dollars of a 50,000.00 bond plus my house of 100, 000.00 dollars plus to be bailed out of a Louisiana jail and the reason why they say that I might not return to there for my trial. I was charged with Video Voyerisum never had a chance to explain that I had the peoples permission to shoot the videos. At my trial the felony charge was dropped to taking videos on private property. There were drug dealers with lesser bonds than mine. Should I have recieved my money back since I came back to Lousiana for my trial? This was in Aug of 2008

No sir. The $7,000 bought you a $50,000 insurance policy. Had you failed to appear, and your bond forfeited, then the bondsman, or rather the company who guaranteed you would return for all court hearings, would have had to pay the $50,000.
